1. I will put together within my first 90 days in office a broad-based group to create a comprehensive water conservation program. This is an absolutely critical issue. Water has been a major concern of mine for years. As one of your planning commissioners, I’ve worked to ensure that the commission receives regular reports and updates. I believe the council needs to take more of a leadership position because it is the council that is ultimately responsible for ensuring that water supplies are sufficient for all approved development.
   

2. I will work to obtain more frequent reports from the Castaic Lake Water Agency that include alternative scenarios.
   

3. I will work with the CLWA to develop and implement a comprehensive water conservation plan. Our current city ordinance needs to be updated. As written, it delays action until a crisis occurs.
   

4. I will work with our state representatives in support of state measures to sustain our water resources.
