Santa Clarita — Planning Commissioner and City Council candidate Diane Trautman received recognition recently from Los Angeles City Councilmember Greig Smith for helping to stop a planned development in the Newhall Pass that would have created an additional 72,000 car trips a day through the already-congested artery.
“Your presence played a significant role in persuading a majority of my colleagues to vote against this awful project,” Smith said in a personal letter to Trautman. He added, “I will always be grateful for your willingness to stand up against Las Lomas…”
