1. I am very supportive of our local homeless shelter. The Santa Clarita Community Development Corporation has done an outstanding job of helping the down on their luck citizens of our community get back on their feet.
   

2. •As of January 1st, all municipalities in California must identify zones in which emergency homeless shelters can be placed by right. We need to conduct a real study to ensure that we meet this requirement in accordance with the State’s mandates.
   

3. •I will encourage the county to develop a comprehensive system to direct identified members of our homeless population to appropriate treatment centers, as needed.
   

4. •I support developing affordable housing alternatives now to prevent our seniors and working families from ending up on the streets and under our bridges.
