I believe that the Santa Clarita Valley should become one city.

1. •If we can get developers to annex their properties and process their projects through the city, we will get projects that meet our standards, rather than the more lax standards of the county.
   

2. •As we annex properties, we increase our clout and our voice regionally, and at the state and federal levels.
   

3. •With full annexation, we will have greater economic stability. Otherwise, we’ll end up competing with the county or another city, if one were to incorporate.
   

4. •I support an open and proactive dialog with all the residents of surrounding communities in a cooperative spirit to explore further annexation. Over time, the city has done a few dozen annexations and everyone seems very happy. In fact, people tell me all the time that they want to annex. Now the city has made it easier.
   

5. •I support the city’s efforts to create a One Valley/One Vision plan with the county, allowing us to help shape the development that is now being planned in the surrounding unincorporated areas.
   

6. •I will work hard to ensure that city and county residents can count on our city government to provide responsible, effective, accountable service to maintain our high quality of life.
